King Strikers

What's changed

Including the things we took out

Newest first. Removals get an entry of their own, because a changelog that only lists additions is an advertisement.

The front door and the game part ways

kingstrikers.com became this site; the game moved to play.kingstrikers.com. Everybody signed in at the old address was signed out once — a session belongs to a web address and nothing can carry it across. Accounts, players and records were untouched.

The league gets shorter and faster

A division is now a smaller group playing home and away, with a round every couple of days. The old calendar ran on fixed weekdays and took over a month. A season now runs in weeks, and it is the same length wherever you play.

Injuries are gone. So is composure

Injuries punished you for playing, which is the one thing the game asks you to do, so they were taken out whole. Composure went a couple of hours later: the injury roll had been the only thing left reading it, and a number nothing reads is not a mechanic.

Every stored match was replayed against the new engine after each removal, and not one of them came out differently — which is how we know neither deletion quietly changed the football.

The energy bar comes down a notch

A tighter daily budget, so choosing between a drill and a shift at work is an actual choice rather than a formality.

Home becomes a hub, and the world gets its own screen

The home screen is now the place you start from rather than a dashboard of everything at once, and the league, the map and the rest of the world moved into Explore.

The crown, everywhere

The logo went onto every page, the crown became the tab icon and the home-screen icon, and the app took the navy game skin. The old baked-colour avatar library was deleted along the way — a great pile of parts that nothing new was going to use.

18 September 2026

The game is called King Strikers

It had been RiseXI, and the XI means eleven a side. This game is seven. The name changed, the code followed the next day, and the old web address still forwards here.

Training becomes drills

A drill moves several of your stats at once, instead of pushing one at a time. Same energy, same total gain, and a real decision about the kind of footballer you are building.

A club keeps one plan

Instead of a team sheet per fixture, a club now saves one shape, one mentality and one side, used for every match until somebody changes it. Setting up once should not be a weekly chore.
