The lines are still being drawn
You can play it today, and it is not finished. Both of those are true at once, and the second one has a cost you should know about before you start.
This is an alpha. Your progress will be reset
Everything is wiped once, when the game launches properly. Players, clubs, leagues, honours, coins — all of it. Everybody starts again from nothing, on the same day, with nothing carried over.
Your progress is saved in the meantime. Nothing disappears while the alpha is running, and we are not going to wipe it twice or do it quietly. There will be one reset, at launch, and you will know it is coming.
Anyone who played in the alpha or the beta keeps a legendary label on their profile afterwards — a mark that says you were here when it was held together with string. It is decoration. It does not raise a stat, it does not win a tackle, and it never will.

Balance will change. Screens will be rebuilt. Numbers you had got used to will be different one morning, and we will say so when they are.

We could pick a month. Everybody picks a month. Then the month arrives, the thing that was going to take a week has taken five, and the announcement turns into an apology.
So we are not going to give you one. What we will say is that the world is live, it runs on its own, and it is being worked on constantly.
Play it, and help us make it better. An alpha is worth having because of the people in it: you will find the broken thing we never thought to try, and we would much rather hear about it from you now than from a thousand people later.
